Pulled a Sterner today....
« on: June 17, 2008, 04:06:30 PM »
I always give my Cheezehead buddy Harlyman (aka Chris) a hard time about how he has it made in the shade. His job lets him work from home, he gets to ride a new Harley every week if he wants, and makes deals on the golf course. He can go flying at the drop of a hat if he wanted to also.
So he calls me this morning and says " Hey guess where I'm at?" I said "where?" On the golf course playing golf. Well I could not let him get away with that. So I said, "So guess where I am going?". He said "Flying?" My reply was "Yes, and I am flying with the NW Fireballs in Portland." LL~ #^

I had to come out for work, but I had a few hours to kill this morning so I pulled a "Sterner" and went flying with my buddies.  <=

If you ever get out this way I suggest that you find your way to East Delta Park and just hang out with these guys. They sure showed me some Good Old Southern Hospitality.
Here are a few photos from today.

And a few more....
Thanks Richard, Art, Leo, Geoff, Scott and Ivan for a great day. The weather was great, cool, overcast and mild wind. Just perfect for flying.

Paul,

You do know if you keep hanging out with Art and Leo, it will stunt your growth and drain IQ point out your ear, right?

Hey Randy,  That was way funny!  Paul is one of those people who could loose a few IQ points and still be way up there.

This a once in a lifetime shot. Good camera work. Again thanks for flying with us. I do have a round about connection to Tennesee. My brother married a girl from Menphis. Good flying paul.

Paul,

I'm about 3.5 hours from Portland. Could maybe make it down on a weekend sometime. We go to several contests in Oregon throughout the year (Portland, Salem, McMinneville and Eugene). All are in close proximity. It's a lot of fun. Especially if Leo is there. Hey, someone has to be the target of jokes.
