Title: Prowler info
Post by: Leester on May 14, 2009, 05:17:48 PM
I've heard on Windy's videos talk of a foam wing plane the Prowler. Does any one have any pictures ? specs, and where plans are avaiable ? TIA

Unless I'm badly mistaken, the Prowler is a Bob Hunt design.  I suggest you contact him for plans and wing cores.

I have one here that a guy at my club gave me ... still in the box w/Fox 35.  Indeed, designed by Bob Hunt and also has a "Aerosmith Model Aviation" logo on it. Engine: 25-35; Wingspan 48"; Wing Area 490 sq in; Length 33.5"; Weight 37.42oz

The kit is missing some pieces, but maybe someday I'll put it together.

Like all of Bob Hunt's designs, it is an excellent flyer.
All the versions I saw were tapered foam wing but I think there was a built up straight wing called the RD-1. Also a fine flyer.

It's been my favorite profile. It's an excellent flier.

I have flown a few of them, and they were very good fliers indeed.
