Okay...  with the custom made controls in, the boom tops and stab taped on the La Donna has now been flipped over so I can secure the pushrod to the bellcrank, install the gear and the reast of the strip ribs.

The controls are custom made for the "La Donna" by Jim @ control line central should be ordered directly from C.L.C. (http://www.clcentral.com)
(* The nylon bellcrank currently shown installed is not a part of the custom controls by CLC, the custom controls will include a phenolic B.C. not nylon)

Thank you and God Bless

Excellent looking work, Walter (as usual!) and I think it will be a great kit.

Thanks Bill,

This is only my second I-Beam stunter I have built and it's going together real easy,
so with your I-Beam building skills I know you would love building this one.

Seeing the construction as it is progressing causes me to think back to when I built the Sheeks Staggerwing.  One wing with all those ribs isn't too bad, but try two wings.   The build is still looking great.  Did the original have the bellcrank in the outboard boom?  Have fun,  DOC Holliday

Guess we'll see if the argument about bellcrank placement holds up. Shouldn't make any different, I suppose.

Nice work, Walter.

The RSM Crusader has it there also, just gotta make sure you have long lead outs. Really looks good Walter, glad I'm on the list.

If I could do work like that it would be finished in clear with very little pink trim and graphics.

John, just ask Walter, this kit's fits are very good. It will go together like an erector kit. The cutfiles were set up to use the accuracy of laser cutting, something more and more CAD men are starting to do.

I think I'll just skip the kit and take that finished one!

Nah! Building it looks like just too much fun. Can't wait!

I already have a color scheme in mind.  But, as slow as I am it will not be ready for VSC 2010.

Beautiful, beautiful workmanship .......but I gotta ask -- why no 1/8" tubing through bellcrank ? - won't leadout cable eventually egg out and wear through bellcrank ? ......or is bellcrank made of super tough material that won't allow cable to wear through ? Sorry to upset apple cart for something I missed or should have known.

If that is one of the SIG Mfg bellcranks you will not wear it out.  Even if you take the bare cable and pull it back and forth thru the holes it will take a very long time to cut thru it.  I have one that has been in several planes and shows no sign of wear.  Now look at the motion we put on the bellcrank and tell me how to wear it out.  I have even used the skinny Perfects cranks and no failures.
