I was flying my ARF Oriental tonight, it has an L&J Fox 35 using 10/28 fuel on 60' eye to eye lines .015. The first flight I was using a MAS 10-6 it needed a touch more speed and line pull. I changed to a BY&O 10-6, line pull was better but still needed a touch more speed. The engine RPM's where right on since it would break as soon as I nosed up. Will a APC 10-6 make a difference? or what prop should I try next? Unless I've got it wrong you adjust speed by props right? Thanks.

You are correct. You adjust the airspeed of the plane with the prop. Adjust lap times with the line length. Adjust engine run with the NVA, and other "engine" methods.
A B-Y&O 10-6 is probably closer to a 5 or less pitch on a Prather gague. They tend to come out on the weak side in pitch. Plus a wood prop can change from the time is was blanked out and finished until it cured.
APCs tend to be good for advertised pitch. I don't like the weight of the APCs on a Fox, but a lot of people use them.
Go with the APC.

Leester,
I use APC 10x5 on all of my stunt airplanes that have a Fox 35 on them. For reference, the stock engines like about 10K for launch speeds, but the one L&J that I have worked with prefered 10.6K if I remember right. Also, I use 63 feet of .015" on my Oriental with a SilverFoxx. At less than 3 bucks, it is a cheap experiment.

Bill and John: Thanks I've got both the 10-5 and 10-6 in APC so I'll give them a try, I've also got a TT 10-5.5 one of them should do it. j1 j1 j1 f~
