Today a few of us got together and put up a few flights. It started off a little windy, but then the weather got just right. Over cast and a slight breeze. We had a new guy show up, well another re-tread. He is going to get a U-Key to get started again. Steve showed up with a real nice P40 ARC with a Brodak 40. I wish I had a camera today. Ryan took the only picture with his phone. Steve and his P40.
Willie put up his U-Key 40, and his Flite Streak Trainer. Trainer lost its rudder on a hard landing. Arlan put up his Tutor II a number of times. He also tried his Shark 15 on my set of 57 ft Flite Streak lines. I was done with them for the day and you will see why if you read on.
Ryan sure did his dad proud. He did the whole beginner pattern today!!! He sure loves flying his Tutor II. He said he can not wait until Brodaks.
I did get a few over head eights in today. I tried to keep up with Ryan and tried the whole beginner pattern, but I slid the Flite Streak on the second outside of a horizontal eight.
Busted a rib and the TE, popped the monokote. Took the canopy off. It should be fixable.
I hope we get a few more chances to practice before we leave for Brodaks.
Paul
