Kit, plans, original? Wing area & power? I like the OD scheme, especially without the usual Invasion Stripes. I'm not sure why I don't like Invasion Stripes, but maybe they optically shorten the wing, or just make it too busy? Pretty easy to do, so there's not much skill involved in painting them. Yet, some seem to think they're the bee's knees and should go on any & every WWII aeroplane. Much prettier than a Spitfar (sic), anyway, Glenn!  S?P Steve

Scratch build or kit Ty?  The wing is sheeted rather then open bay, or is it foam?  Very nice.  Don (Dominic) Gentiles "Shangri La"  8th AF ace, 30 kills (21+ in the air).

Nice looking model, you did a great job!  H^^

Tom Morris kit. Contest grade wood and wing built with a dihedral, 1.125" I believe, correct?

Any issues there with the flap control horn? Two horns?

I've read comments on flying with dihedral, there's no difference.

But the model certainly looks better with it. Much better.

I looked in Stunt Hangar Hobby and didn't see any such kit listed, nor any other kits. Does that mean we have to go direct to TM? Do you know who designed this plane...I'm thinking it was not Tom Morris?  ??? Steve

Actually the quote that Ty was referring too, came from Don Blakslee the Units Captain, (that Don Gentile belonged too) he had put in bid to get the B Mustang's because the plane crews had been working on Spitfires and were familiar with the engines. When the unit was given the B model Mustangs, he told the Commander that his pilots would learn how to fly them on the way to the target.

I am building one of Pat Johnston's kits and it is a sweet kit. The wing is not sheeted though, will not look as scale, but it will be a nice plane also. Mine will be in the "Old Crow" paint scheme with the Malcom Hood canopy. LA .46 in mine. These are just the right size to fly good and have some fun with. Great job Ty.
