Bob Whitely design, the Miss Kell was on the front of a model magazine. MAN, I think D>K Steve

Miss Kell was featured in the July 1977 issue of Model Airplane News.
The design is named after his daughter who was the cover model.
See Ted Fancher’s comments under Bob Whitely is gone forum topic.

I have kit #1

Thanks Great story. I'm getting the impression not to many people have built this, anyone know how it flys? It must be pretty good if 2 different kit makers cut it. Does it qualify for classic or anything?

Hi MM,
The Profile Kell is an exact copy of the Miss Kell but in a Profile and I have been told by the small hand full of guys that have actually built and flown their Profile Kell's that they were very pleased with the
performance and would say that they fly almost like the original built-up.
Basically all we did differently was make it so the builder could choose either a flat stab or the anhedral Stab. Oh! and choose it also with or without the wheel pants.

This has been sitting on my desk ever since I head that Bob was sick...

This is a good design and a great kit - I like mine.
Walter's kit use 1/4" profiles that you laminate together. Instead I added 1/4" square top & bottom longerons and made the fuse 3/4" thick. Provided room to keep the pushrod internal too. Also made it with a bolt one wing for easier transport...

Hey Dennis, can you please send me some hi res photos?
I would like to have them for my website.

I, too, would like some of those high-res photos, especially concerning the bolt-on wing. I'm still cramped for transportation, so having a take-apart model would really help me there. Windy has lots of videos on doing that with a built-up fuselage, but I want to see how to do it on a profile, too.
