Title: Profile Cavalier
Post by: rich gorrill on March 05, 2014, 01:29:47 PM
Hello everyone

I was searching the results of last years Brodak meet and noticed a lot of high place finishers in the profile category used a profile cavalier. I looked all through Brodak's kits and they don't seem to offer it. Is it a discontinued kit, a scratch built or is it offered by someone else.  Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks, Rich

Brodak has never carried the Cavalier.....Tom Morris sells it in most any state of completion.
Tom is listed as a vender on this site. Your correct, it's a great airplane!

As has been already alluded to, Tom sells the Profile Cavalier as well as the built up Cavalier.  These are John Simpson designs.  Tom sells in any stage from a total "piece kit" to about any stage of completion you want.  And Tom does exemplary work!

Thanks for the help guy's. Tried Tom,s stunt hanger hobby but he has no kits or partial kits listed. Does he have another web site where I could see a picture of the Cavalier and the prices.

Thanks, Rich

I've got pictures of a bunch of Cavaliers, but none Profile. They look much the same, as you might imagine. So, I picked the one pic that gives the best perspective of the whole design. Very nice looking example, too, built by John Lindberg. One cool thing is that they can be built as either C-tube or I-beam wings, and Classic legal. Like the others said, call Tom Morris.  D>K Steve

One odd thing I've noticed is full fuselage Cavaliers tend to have long pointed spinners and the profile versions seem to have shorter blunter spinners.

And John builds a new one about every other season. Powers them with a Aero Tiger .36. Super nice guy.
Tom does electric.  H^^
