Woops, didn't see this until now...  doing my best Bobby D "Are you talkin' ta me?" Heh... VD~

I'd be glad to discuss it with the R/C club that I belong to. It's their field and we only have a single C/L circle, but we could host a small fun fly still. What time frame did you have in mind?

Eric,
Lots going on the first few months this year (KOI, Air Show Support-CL Demo (tentative), Daytona, Dog trials(for me)), and........?   n~                           Maybe a poll for desired/preferred date(s) would be a good first step?
Just a suggestion.
Hope New Year is starting well for you.
We missed you at the Fun Fly!

Phil,

May I suggest that you do it again at your field. I could eat another bratwurst lunch with all of you. Your location is central and very nice.

I agree Chuck, I just wanted  to give the Bay area guys a chance to have one too.  I know I have a good central location for both coasts to meet here and the local club here enjoyed having C/L folks, infact, they were asking when we could do it agian.  I just don't want to kill the goose that layed the golden egg by over doing it. I don't have a good feel for how often the guys will attend a fun-fly without losing interest, and also I don't want to step on someone elses turn.  If I can get folks to chime in with their opinion it will help.

Phil, if you had a fun fly get together with some sort of competition event every month it might get old for you and the guys/gals that help.  The Dallas club average a centest or event of some kind each month.  Of course their club is over  loaded with contest directors.  I would suggest one in the spring, one in the summer and then the fall.  Also maybe I could talk the wife into it this time as long as it is not around a holiday.   1430+ miles one way to Stuart.  Later,  DOC Holliday

Phil,

I agree with all your points. Looks to me like February and early March are blank for any get together type flying. I am pleased to learn that your club wants to have us come back. That is important. You be the judge and make the call. Maybe after the KOI would be good as all that is after that is Marietta.
