Primer Bulb
« on: January 30, 2017, 05:11:54 PM »
Anyone know where to find another one of these? I found it at a swap meet years ago, it is the best little primer bulb for 1/2a's and I always grab it to skeet a little fuel in a gummed up engine. It is so easy to just get a drop of fuel where you need it.  I believe it was an oiler of some sort at one time, maybe for sewing machines or such. Would love to buy a couple if I could find them, afraid this one is going to leave me some day.

A place that sells fishing gear will have something called a "worm blower".  It's intended to squirt air into a nightcrawler but it works fine for engine priming.  It has a short steel needle so you can use it one handed.  Mine has lasted for years.

I've seen bottles like that for drawing oil samples from a dipstick tube in diesel engines. But the tube was larger.

Woodcraft supply has something like that, 6 pack for 10 bucks

They call them glue bottles, i use them for oil so probably works with fuel.

Thanks guys for the heads up on the woodworking glue bottles, I will order some tomorrow! Russell, I have fished with night crawlers for a lot of years and have to say the "worm blower" is a new one on me, I looked it up and now I have to get one. Thanks, Ray

Found it locally. I knew it was something rc car related. I found a RC car bearing oiler. Only difference is that it is not the accordion style, just smooth plastic.
