Have a Primary Force and want to use a chicken hopper tank, anyone tried this? Thanks Ron. y1 <= #^

Jim Carpenter has done this. You might do a search in SS for his post on this.

Chicken Hoppers feed to the last drop, keep the engine lit. Problem with them leaning out during the flight, if uniflo is not used. Guess that shouldn't be an issue with uniflo. I've used these tanks a bunch. So far no leaks. The engines I use have not responded well to uniflo, so, I've run muffler pressure to the fill tube (no uniflo). A great sport run, too much rich to lean variance for an excellent stunt run. Solves lots of problematic engine behavior (at least for me) such as leaning out in outside maneuvers and cut-offs when pulling tight loops or jerking the plane around like a jerk.

Hi Ron, I have an excellent flying Primary Force with a stock Magnum XL 36A. Crist Rigotti generously lent/gave me a Fred Krueger-designed chicken-hopper tank that Crist had built. This tank made a so-so good package into a great one. From now on I am a firm believer for chicken-hopper tanks on profiles. If you are interested in making this tank yourself, I am sure either Fred or Crist would email the construction files. Larry Lindburg

Fred, e-mail address: amigo50-50@sbcglobal.com. Thank You for everything. Your tank looks good. Ron. AP^

The really good thing about Fred's tank verses the GRW is the GRW puts the hopper too far out from the fuselage creating a large difference between fuel head pressure on the ground and in-flight.
Wished Brodak or GRW would start building Fred's tank in a few diferent sizes.

Fred, i couldn't agree more after seeing Fred's drawing. Maybe if enough interest Brodak might consider it????????? Ron. AP^
