Primary Force

I'm thinking about building a Primary Force. Where can I purchase a kit, short kit or plans? Thanks

The design was originally presented in Stunt News so PAMPA should have plans also. great model. I fly my ARF version with an OS.32F.

Please read the posts in the Mikey's Models before sending money ...  I hate to say that but it's only fair to issue a warning.

I did a random search of past Stunt News and found a list of the plans available in a 2016 issue file:///C:/Users/Joe%20Ed%20Pederson/Downloads/SN_Magazine_May_June_2016.pdf   When you open the issue select page 59 at the top left corner to find the list of plans.  Unfortunately, the Primary Force is not listed.

A few years ago I ordered a set of plans for the Medic from PAMPA and received them, but if memory serves PAMPA was having a hard time finding someone to store and ship plans.  I checked the last issue of Stunt News for 2018 and the plans list and order form aren't there.  So, I don't think you can order any of the PAMPA plans.  I'm on vacation so I can't look at the return address on the mailing tube the Medic plans came in.

I thought about volunteering to handle the plans, but I don't think I have the space to to store all the plans.  And if I remember correctly whoever volunteers to handle them has to go and get them from whoever has them now.

I don’t believe that it was the Primary Force that was in Stunt News, but rather the Force, which was a constant chord, flapped profile with the characteristic fuselage shape.

Gary is correct.  I found the Force plans listed in the Nov/Dec 2016 Stunt News.  The plan is PPN012 Force by Mike Pratt (1 sheet 36 x 48) $15.00.

However, I don't know who you would contact to order plans from PAMPA.  Does anyone know who is handling PAMPA plans?

Someone brought a Force to the St. Louis Broken Arrow Contest a couple of weeks ago.  I hadn't seen one before and didn't notice the flaps at first.  It was a beautifully built and finished model.

I COULD supply copies of the Plan and even the Instruction Book - which Mike was in the process of re-doing several months ago - but I'd much prefer Mike gets back in the game.  It's his design.

But what if he isn't responding?  Is it better no plans are available?

OPINIONS PLEASE ...

Dennis I dont know what is going on with Mike.  He contacted me months ago about doing a joint venture in a downsized Primary Force he was designing and was supposed to send me a copy of the plans to look at but then he just dropped off the grid and did not answer my emails.

I spoke with Mike today.  He can supply plans and has new kits but says he won't sell the kits.  Received them a couple of weeks ago and feels the wood is unreasonably heavy.

No idea what's next, wish I could help.  I really wish him all the best!

Many thanks to AirClassix for the image of the plan - that gives me all the info. I need to build my version.  I'll be aiming for a finished weight of 38-odd ounces, with a .25FP-S.  A good winter project.

I ordered two kits from Mike last March. never received them, only my cancelled check. PM's, emails, letters and phone calls all go unanswered. Several people have had the same problem.

Boy that's crappy. This is too small of a community to be burning people like that.

Contest grade is extremely hard to find now so I dont doubt him when he said the wood was heavy.  RSM was cutting his kits as well as mine at one time.

I myself have had kits that some people would call heavy or bad wood.  In fact the original S-1 Ringmaster that was partially done that I finished is probably the best flying one of the S-1 types I have.  I haven't weighed my Primary Force as it has been collecting dust waiting to be recovered after my Sandy the demented gave it her evaluation one year after I put a flight up.  Anyway when I do recover my Fox 35 Stunt will go back in the nose.
If Mikey wanted to recoup the cost of the wood I would be interested as I still have the plans some where in the shop. D>K
