Title: Prayers for the Hinton family
Post by: Allen Goff on December 30, 2014, 05:31:31 PM
There seems to be a rash of our friends having health issues right now. I hate to add one more to our list. Prayer list that is.
Please pray for Wills wife Donna. They went to the doctor today for some tests and the results were not good. Cancer is a terrible ugly word. Will has more details, just let me say and ask all their friends to pray for both of them.
Hold on thigh my friend, God bless you both.
Blessings
Allen

Will,
I will include Donna and you and your family in my prayers.  May God continue to guide you and comfort you both.

Also I include my personal wishes for a rapid recovery and guidance for you both in the decisions facing you!

Our prayers go out for Donna and Will. We are hearing news like this too frequently. Personally I want to forget that 2014 ever happened. God bless everyone.

It so blesses me to see all of your support at this time.  We see an oncologist Monday and will know a bit more then as to what "the plan" is as far as treatment and prognosis.
God is so good to bless us with all you fine friends, I pray He blesses all of you for your support.  More to come next week,
Will

Hi Brother Will,

I remember meeting Donna at the infamous '96 NATS!  Broken cots and ripped tents........  I remember she is such a sweet person.  It is my urgent prayer that all is OK and in line with God's will.  I pray for His guidance in this time of worry.  You have been such a source of comfort and support for many of us that we are more than glad to offer up prayers for your wonderful life partner.  May she be comforted in God's loving arms.

Bill

Dear family friends, and prayer warriors,
Please forgive the manner of making this more a newsletter than a personal communication, but God has blessed us with so many who truly care that I would be typing all day if I contatcted each of you personally.
First, thank you so much to those of you who have contacted us with well wishes and your promise of support.  You are so precious to us.  (That includes our friends on stunthanger!)
Now, the plan: we start Thursday with a PET scan to make sure there is no cancer in any organs.
Second, we start a regimen Friday of an infusion a month of a med that will strengthen the bones.
And third, we start radiation again soon.  We're not sure how many treatments yet, but the doc all but promised they would greatly reduce the intense pain Donna is experiencing.
He is confident we can expect to concquer this, and came into the room well informed and prepared, including challenging Donna to eat more because she has lost weight.  (She just isn't hungry because of the pain and nothing sounds good.)
During our married life, it has been amazing how God continues to link us up with Christian doctors who openly express a faith in Christ, and Dr. Brown is no exception.  That does so much for our own faith!
I will be more than glad to answer any questions I can, whether by email or phone or over coffee, so feel free.  However, that being said, for the next several weeks or maybe even months, our time is not our own, so scheduling might just be a problem.  I'll try my best, though.
Thank you all for your love and support, God is in control.
Many blessings,
Will & Donna

Brother Will,

It is so comforting to hear that it seems the Doctor is confident of beating this round of cancer.  I personally know how comforting that is.  Even though Donna is in pain, the Lord will comfort her and you while you go through the process of eradicating this evil disease.  Tell Donna for me that she, and all of you, will continue to be in my, and many others, prayers.  God's will be done.

Bro Bill
