Title: Prather Pitch Gauge Question
Post by: Rick Campbell on July 29, 2017, 01:16:42 PM
I've misplaced the little metal platform piece that the prop secures to. I know it's in the shop somewhere, but no luck finding it yet. Could someone please measure theirs so that I might duplicate it and use my gauge again?  Thanks!

Lee Machine Shop sells a bigger one that is more stable than the original. I'd go that route.

This is the best thing to do.  The stock Prather block is pretty small and crappy compared to the Lee Machine upgrade.

Jim Lee's  replacement part is highly recommended.. Better than original

FYI, my method to keep track of that elusive little block is to leave it fastened to an old prop and throw the whole pitch gauge into a suitably sized box. Now, to find the box, when it's lost in the shop! I'll leave that up to you.  D>K Steve

How big of a prop can I pitch with Lee's pitch gauge?

Sorry, not clear enough. They sell a bigger prop block for the Prather gauge, not a larger complete pitch gauge. H^^
