Title: Power Panel Battery
Post by: bob whitney on January 21, 2021, 09:55:18 AM
was watching some Moto X super cross the other night .Kawasaki had an add for their 450 4 stroke moto X bike .it is electric start .they were showing a new battery  for their bike ,.it is a lithium battery about 2/3 smaller that what  we normally use in a power panel set up. i dont have a Kawasaki dealer near me  .maybe someone near a dealer could check it out and see if it is worth looking into.Rad

Volts is volts. But I don't know how to charge it, they are pretty picky.

I dont know either but I'll bet it costs cubic money! You could probably adapt a decent battery drill battery for less. You can find all sorts of those with and without chargers on evilBay.
If Kawasaki is using them in SX bikes, I'll bet they are a custom fit for size, and that equals expensive also.
  Type at you later,

You could use having to charge your power panel battery as an excuse to buy a motorcycle!

Here is link to some lithium batteries and chargers. I put one in my dirt bike last year. It is lighter and smaller.

Dont need an excuse, I already own 14, and none of them need a lithium battery to start, just a healthy leg!

Bike? Did someone say bike? Sticking with foot-to-start theme:
1965 Honda S-90 with mechanical start (leg)..owned since 1983
1983 Honda CB1100F with electric leg...owned since February 1983
1986 Honda Shadow...one foot in the grave, on life support-barely
