Title: Posting Pictures
Post by: Bill Little on October 30, 2006, 08:00:43 AM
Here is a message from Clancy that pretty much somes it up!

"Bill
I think someone needs to write up a step by step procedure for adding photos to your posts.

Something like:
After writing your post, scroll down to the bottom of the Page and select (forgot the actual words shown) [this is the "Additional Options" bullet] then select the photo from your computer that you want to post [click "Browse"][/u][/i], then select the next space and again select the photo you wish to post.  You can only post 2 at a time but after completing your post, go to "edit post" and you can then add 2 more photos.

Sparky explained to me that you can actually do this "edit post" repeatedly to post up to a maximum of 10 pictures in one post. Hope this helps.

I've tried all of the above, but can never get more than 3 pictures to/per post.
I will also admit that I am no computer whiz-far from it infact. :)

So what are the photo size requirements? I just keep squishing 'til I don't get yelled at...

100 kb per photo 1000 kb limit per post up to 10 pictures, which I can change if need be.

Many of you have problems getting the file size to be acceptable.  A way to reduce the file size is to crop the picture.   Do away with all of the clutter in the picture so that the model fills the frame when viewed.

I've been using this for a couple of years with no problems.  It works great and is easy to navigate through.  You can resize your photos to any size you want.  You don't have to be a computer genius either.

Bill ;I beleive it might be a good idea for Robert to have a small section
on how to best operate this site.
Start out basic and see what happens.
Besides ; Sparky has nothing better to do anyway(heh, heh!)
I, like him, beleive that there are NO stupid questions, just stupid answers.
(unless you keep coming back with the same question) Now, if you come back and
say" Sorry I still don,t under stand", thats OK.
We would all be better off if we did that before signing that document.
Just my thoughts. ???

In the products review section I finally got some pictures to post.  I know they are a little large as I could only post 4 pictures at one time.  We have Adobe-photoshop and can not figure out how to shrink the size.  Any help appreciated.  DOC Holliday

When you hit save choose save for web and re-size to 600 x 450. In the output box choose 50% and that will make the around 50-80kb.

Doc I fixed them for you.
