  This is a Nakke, which I have been working on. I started it over a year ago, but got interrupted to build a couple other planes in the meantime. It has a 4" Tom Morris bellcrank and ball links and carbon fibre pushrods, also from Tom. I am really impressed with the ball links and the leverage you get from the 4" bellcrank. I am in the process of sanding and filling right now. It will be powered with a ThunderTiger 42 Gp. The tank is a 6 oz. clunk, also from Tom Morris.
   Does anyone have a picture of the original Nakke by Juhani Kari. I hope I spelled his name right. If possible, I would like to paint this one like his and dedicate it to him.

Looks nice so far Joe!
That's a great idea to paint it like the original.
I hope someone posts a photo of it.
Or leave it as is.  Love them bones!    (PE**)

How much does it weigh so far?  Those New Millennium wings sure are strong and light.  Looks like Carbon veil on the tips. 
Is that Polyspan?
Whatchagonna use for paint? Dope?

  Yes it is polyspan and it is carbon fibre on the tips. It weighs 32 oz. with the tank and gear and cowl. The TT42 w/ toungue muffler and prop and spinner weigh 10 & 1/2 oz. I'm not sure if I'll go with dope or Basecoat Clearcoat. If I do use dope for color, I'll clear it with Urethane clear.

Hi Joe,

As a matter of fact, I have a picture of the NAKKE that Juhani flew to second place at the WC when he was 18.  The plane still exists in Finland, although it has suffered an inverted landing removing the canopy and part of the nose block.

It was predominately white and orange, and had some black trim.  I will find the picture, scan and post it for you (and the others, too!)  Kerrko Kervahouh (I know I mis-speeled his name) was at the Brodak Fly In a couple years ago and we met face to face.  He sent me the picture, some magazines in Finnish, and discussed the plane with me a bit.  We had been emailing back and forth about Juhani (John) Kari.
