Possible Easy Build Kit Choices
« on: December 12, 2009, 12:40:33 PM »
I have come up with 6 Easy Build Kits that I would like to offer if the response you all give me is positive.  I cannot offer all 6 at once but could over a period of time.  If there is enough positive response to these planes I will start production on one and work my way though the six.  I of course am still open to your suggestions but the following planes have been mentioned to me more than once as candidates for the Easy Build Kit.  If there is not interest in these, I will choose some more and send them back out for your opinions.  I know you all would like to know the cost on these and that is coming soon.  Right now I just need to know if the selections are good.

Please let me know.  You can either post here or e mail me personally or both.  Whatever you feel most comfortable with.

Looking forward to your responses.

Mike.

They look good except for the Ringmaster.  Brotherhood of the Ring pretty much takes care of all things Ring! LOL  I have an alternatiuve though....Dock Mathis' Excaliber.  Very nice looking profile ship.  I don't believe its been kitted anywhere.  Good luck with your endevours. H^^

Brodak kits the Sterling Mustang and Walter Umland has kitted the Excalibure, a great flying model by the way.

The ad is posted in Mike's other thread. Here is just a low resolution image. Barry Baxter has plans. While I'm sure most interest would be in the original OTS-eligible design, I'd like to fly one with a better airfoil. 'should be a good fun airplane.

Mike,
Now that it looks like the Mustang will be scratched.......There is a nice little Profile Mustang that I always wanted to build called the "Miss BJ" a .29 to .35 stunter, 47 3/4 in. wingspan. It would be just as easy to kit as any of the others you have picked. It has a straight wing and I think it was originally designed around the Fox 35. I think it is a copy of a Racer, well at least the name is.....anyone have a picture ???

My Excaliber kit came from a hobby shop that used to be in Fort Worth TX.  The Miss BJ I beleive is an early Alan Brickhaus design.  As someone has stated, go to Barry Baxter site and look thru it.  Or if you can find the books that Tom Morris had on Old Time and Classic planes, a lot of designs that I have not seen built.  better yet get a hold of Tom Wilk and get his CD's.  Once you find the plan most print shops will blow them up to size.
