Day one is finished of the Mid Iowa Control Liners Spring Kick-Off contest.  Thanks to Bob Baldus and Mike Anderson and the whole crew for a good day.  The weather was nice and the wind was manageable but at times turbulent.

Hi Dennis and thanks.  Though thinking about it, with you and Mike not here I was able to place a lot higher, so thanks again!

I truly was hoping to be there,  I know Bob's heard that before.  But, my daughters grass was getting too high and I ran out $$$.   Hope today is just as nice for you guys.   Did get out to the circle after I got done with the daughters place and got a couple of flights on my scratch built S-1 Ringmaster.

Sure missed seeing a few of you folks, but as always it was great seeing the ones that did make it. Thank's to the whole crew for hosting and putting on the "Kickoff". Thanks also for the "Best Finish" award plaque, that was very unexpected surprise for me on Saturday.

Had a great time overall this weekend, Saturday was sunny with a mild breeze but it was downright windy and cold today, fairly brutal flying conditions actually. That didn't phase Rachel Sandberg though...

Yea it was just too windy and turbulent for me to put up the new Strega with only 3 practice flights on it lol.  Oh well time to practice up for Topeka.
