Ok so I confess - Ive got 20 minutes to kill before I go home for the day..

I was thinking about some aircraft - specifically Stunters.

I wanted to know what people thought the plural of some of them were..

For example -

An Impact - Many Impacts.

Nobler : Noblers

What about
Ares ?
Humungous ?
USA1 ?

Would a group of Thunderbirds Be a ThunderFlock?

We wont see it this year but: A group of sharks is called a gam, grind, school, herd, pod, collage, or shiver.

USA-1 USA-2 (USA-3, USA-4, ect.)
Argus Argusus

As much as I respect Mr. Heinlein's writings I choose to take extreme umbrage with that statement. I consider myself as having at least a smattering of intellegence over and above the humans in "Planet of the Apes", however, math is absolutely NOT my strong point. I am abysmally deficient when attempting to comprehend any item concerning math. That's why I prefer to peruse other items of intrest like building and flying model airplanes.

We have a town in Michigan named Novi. It got it's name from the railroad water tower that the town grew up around. The tower was No. VI... Yes number 6. So the next No vi would be No Vii and so on..... Base 10 of course.....

That's interesting Dave, the story I've always heard was that it was Stage Coach stop No. VI out of Detroit.

This reminds me of the story about the guy that wanted to buy two geese. He was writing the order out and wrote that he wanted to buy 2 gooses. Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are not math. They are but things neccessary for existence in this current world. Math is that 'other stuff' of which aeronautical engineers and rocket schentists speak. I can't understand a word of it. I can, however scratch a model plane, one that flies quite respectively too.

And the basis for the name of the various Indy cars that ran from the mid '40s until 1964 powered by the NOVI V-8s.........

Didn't Dave name his series of stunters after the same place? Or was that another No. VI in NY?
