I requested and received from AMA the names of all those who have registered for our NATS in July. I was unpleasantly surprised to "see" the absence of so many known names.
While I know some of these MIA's will fly this year, the number of pilots who register before the imposed late fee directly and totally influences the reimbursement amount AMA gives us after the flying has been completed. Late entries are not included in their tabulations as far as event expenses are concerned. So, being the ranking volunteer, we would all appreciate a great showing of pilots at the Nats, we would also appreciate each pilot registering before the late fees are charged. Better for you, better for the volunteers.
By the way, the amount we can and do distribute reflects a very small percentage of our out of pocket expenses as volunteers. But, something is a lot better than nothing.....

i was going to sign up the other day, but, it's somewhat confusing.
basic fee, understood.
for the unofficial events, in some places it says pay on site, yet on the registration page, it allows you to pay for the event there? what do i do?
everything i'm flying will be in the "unofficial" category. beginner stunt, DMAA sportsman racing, and Fox 35 speed.

I generally receive the pre-registration package from the AMA well in advance of the Nat’s. This year, nothing...
I wonder if that if why registration is low?

Mark, I was out to AMA today and talked with Yolanda. If you are confused about the entry process, call Yolanda @ 765 287 1256 and she can take care of your entry over the phone. Even living here in Muncie that’s the way I do it.
Entry for everything is down as of today.

I registered online the other day. Process did not seem too bad. One item from previous years that I could not find was a tabulation of competitors in the different events. Any idea where that may be located?

I found them under Nats, events, scores. Click on 2019 and then the event your interested in.

The NATS. I get pissed off every year it comes around for two reasons.
1- it’s three quarters way across the country and would cost a small fortune to make it out there.
2- it’s in July, which is one of the three busiest months of the year for my profession, so I couldn’t leave town even if the NATS were 2 hrs from me.
Basically it’s a “never gonna happen” event''.

Here are the important dates regarding CLPA stunt registration for the Nats:
June 27: last day to pay published registration fees; final day for refunds
June 28: $50 late registration fee imposed; no refunds on or after this date
July 15 after 5PM: registration CLOSED
