A while back, I had a conversation with a gentleman on this site but I cannot recall his name.

Possible Wes or Les, last name Eaton or Eakin.

Anyone know him?

  Yep, most likely Wes Eakin. He's from eastern Kentucky I believe. I am pretty sure he's in Muncie at the NATS right now, as I thought I saw his name on the circle seeding charts that were posted.

I was born and raised in Western Kentucky.  At one time, a long time ago, being appointed a Kentucky Colonel was somewhat of an honor, today, not so much.  That is certainly nothing against Wes, the award itself has just lost its meaning over the years as a lot of things have.  My father was made a Kentucky Colonel when I was about 15 years old.
