Stunt 25 turnout pic
« on: May 05, 2012, 05:50:39 PM »
Eight guys (myself included) showed up at FunDay to compete in the new Stunt 25 event. Unfortunately we had a blow out as the North wind blew about 20-30 mph.

Oh well! Nice flying area.

Here in England we are used to weather that ruins flying days, but lately there seem to be more and more reports of this coming from U.S.A. and Australia, where we've always been led to believe it's always sunny and calm!

I'll answer for Clint. Standing-L to R: Pete Cunha "Small Change" original stunter, ringmaster style wing. Lannie Shorts "Skyray", Flier whose name I forgot from Reno NV: Veco "Brave"(?), Jerry Arana "Jamison Special". Kneeling
L - R: Mike Scholtes "Sakitumi" (Walter Umland Kit), Brian Moore "Akromaster P-51", Clint Ormosen "Wingmaster" (John Lowry design), Jim Cunningham "Flite Streak". All 20 or 25 FP's except for Pete's plane (Brodak 25) and Jim's Flite Streak (LA-25). No flying, it was so windy that we were barely able to hold up our models for the photo.  8)

All correct except the bolded ones. The guy from Reno brought a Veco TomTom, and Brian Moore's plane is an RSM P-51.

We have rescheduled Fun Day for May 19-20. Sorry for the crappy weather this weekend.

Must have been a little cool also.   Hard to beleive this time last year I was still wearing an over coat for crossing duty, as well as gloves.  By the way, a good group shot.

Clint,
This time of year the weather is unpredictable. I still like the concept of .25 Stunt. Hope it goes better on the new date.
