FPV's may be stopped
« on: January 12, 2016, 07:10:09 PM »
Here's an article on FPV machines. I'm not on face book nor am I going to join....... ;D

Seems to me that this will/could end our problems with FPV's. Check it out and see what you think.

Why do you think we have a "problem" with FPVs?

Because people fly them with no spotter and out of line of sight? That and the fact that all upscale "drones" have this ability is against the model airplane code for RC flying. Maybe, just using my God given brain.

You're kinda generalizing Chris......
There are many, many beneficial uses of UAVs and "jamming" will be illegal.

Just sayin

considering the fact that commercial aircraft have been "shot down" in various locations of ongoing military operations

I would suspect all the major airlines are highly interested in early warning, chaff, laser, and jamming technologies

Drone incursion is just part of the new reality now

I though the article interesting but also had a bunch of FCC curiosity as a Amateur radio operator. Like how the our FCC would certify this so call jamming capability and have reasonable assurance that no other legitimate/licensed RF system in the same bands would be unaffected...hell these idiots still don't want cell phones in use on aircraft

I would suspect the FCC and FAA would prohibit this system in USA airspace .....but then again the FAA and FCC do not seem to be doing a rational job any more so who really knows
