I was thinking of asking if RSM will have a single-engine version of the Twin Pathfinder. Gordan (correct spelling) would probably provide info. Gordan said they've built recent Pathfinders with 1" shorter TMA and liked it better. I'd like to know what the various (correct) dimensions are. I'm wondering if my two Brodak kits have the correct hinge 2 hinge dimension or not, after reading about the +1" error on the early production kits. You can get kit plans from Brodak for about $15 + postage, or well, you know, the RSM twin plans and retro it into a single.
Several "StarFinders" have been built in this area (2 from Mike Haverly and 1 from Pete Peterson), which is Norm Whittle's restyled (& taildragger) version of the PathFinder. I believe the wing was either moved back 1", or the TMA shortened 1" and the nose extended some, because it looks quite a bit longer. I'm posting a couple of pics of Pete's Starfinder. Magnum XLS .36 with Randy Aero header and "Utah" pipe.
