Title: Plans for Bill Rutherford's RV-6?
Post by: Paul Taylor on June 05, 2012, 11:54:19 AM
Anyone know if there are plans for Bill's RV -6?
And was it a good stunt model?

Paul,
I'm not aware of a model of an RV-6.  The RV series of aircraft are full sized homebuilts available from Van's aircraft in Aurora, Oregon.  Bill does have an RV-6 that he built a few years back.  I've seen pictures of it and it is extremely well done.

And Alan, when are you going to build a scale stunt version?   ;D

I thought about doing a Lancair 360 stunt plane but didn't think I could tolerate the fall out.

I have video,(yes I have video) of Bill flying his full scale RV-6. I believe Bill was a A&P mechanic-hence the full size plane building skills.

I think Bill's RV6 suffers in the square 8  :-)

He still is. Still has the model hanging out on a wall of his hanger. And heres a few pics of an RV-6 Bill and I repaired
A few years back. A nice little plane, I got to ride in it before the bird strike that caused the repair.
