OK, The Twister is hung back on the wall waiting on the weather to get right for a new first test flight.
So I guess my next build project will be a starter box.
I was hoping someone had a picture or plans for a easy home made box.
Need to carry fuel, starter, battery and pannel, odds and ends.

Paul, building a box takes time. Time is what we have little of. buy a plastic tool box, or deep tote tray. A Tote tray is what i use. It took me no time to build. I like to save my time for building planes. Everything is on top, in the open. Except for the drawer, which has my smaller items.... worth a look.
Try Lowes, Wal Mart, an auto store,

I bought a box at Wally-World and it is full.
I carry my two jugs of fuel, glove, shop towel and a few other things in a fueled soaked cardboard box.
I have a old used starter, a pannel that the fuel pump switch don't work and two 6v jell cells that I would like to put in a starter box.
I do have a little time to build but not the kind of time it will take to join the class. And I am no where ready for that type of plane. I have to stop making lawn darts. Maybe this time next year. I hope to be able to access the class thread and follow along.
I sure hope you can come over this summer to the Cheezehead flyin or maybe the contest that Louis Rankin and Jim Lynch will host this fall in the Memphis area.
I still would like a set of plans or picture if anyone has any. Looking for ideas.

I have pic's (4 of them) and a pdf file that I had sent Robert an email about.
With all that is going on setting up this forum and working out the details of
the Tee shirt, I'm thinking he's been pretty busy. I take exception to the remark that it takes a lot of time. I took an part of an afternoon and sourced the materials, 3 stops. The next day I Laid out the panels, cut them out, assembled them with thin CA and shot the box with 3 coats of Deft. I am no speed merchant and do not have a shop so you can see it's no big deal. Oh, I did make the carrying handle as I do have a hobby lathe and wanted one with a larger diameter. I am sure that when Robert gets caught up, he will advise me as to where this project should be posted.

Hey Paul, I wasnt angleing for you join the building class.... ;) ;D It would be swell if you did, but, you know, its cool, you will. funny that it came out that way.
I have seen lots of home made boxes, all real handy and great craftsmanship. Some are even doped. I am able to get along with my deep tote. I just dont have the desire to spend my time on a field box right now. Maybe the guys I fly with will shame me into one later this summer.
Or, when Oregon Flyer can post his box project, I'll build his plan. His looks good too....
