32 Hours One Way
« on: November 29, 2007, 11:25:15 PM »
I just returned yesterday from my trip to China. It is an intimidating schedule both going and coming back when you add in the lay-overs. Lake Charles to Houston, Houston to L.A., L.A. to Guangzhou and Guangzhou to Changsha. You become rather comatose. While there I did a lecture series about American music education at Changsha Normal University for 200 music majors. The highlight of my trip was going to Zhangjiajie, China's first national park. I have never experienced such majestic beauty in all of my life. This thread has nothing to do with model planes, but everything to do with the well-wishes from a lot of you on both boards prior to the trip. The Boeing 777 in 1st class wasn't too bad either. Thanks
Steve

I once spent 40 hours on the Empire Builder in Fargo ND. It was very interesting, especially the John Deere combines on a flat car that was parked next to us on the railway siding. That was a long trip! HB~> HB~> HB~> HB~> HB~> HB~>

Hi Steve,

Glad you had a safe, wonderful trip!

Leo, if I had been cooped up in a railroad car for 40 hours, someone (maybe several) would have died, and it wouldn't have been me.............
