I have a plan of Don McGoverns Eclipse Biplane from Tom Morris "Old Time Stunt Construction Drawings". The plan states that it was published in FM5010. I assume this is October 1950. The plan is not listed in this magazine. I need details of the plan publication magazine and date. I will appreciate any information offered.

The plane name sounds familiar. In 1950, I don't know if they had started their "Timely Plans Service" as yet. I think that is what they called it. A lot of the designs has full size parts shown, and you needed to use your high school drafting skills to enlarge the rest! A lot easier with Kinkos these days!
Does this model show some kind of light system on it? I'll have to dig out the Morris book and find out.
Type at you later,
Dan McEntee
PS to Add: YES! It is in that issue, October 1950, but it is in an article called "Stunt By Night" by Don McGovern and the table of contents mentions the model Eclipse. I think I made copies of that article for Jim Lee or someone else looking for it for an obscure OTS model.

Don McGovern's Eclipse from Flying Models, October 1950, is listed in the AMA plans listing.
If you write to the AMA plans service, they can copy the magazine article for you.

Thanks Guys for the comments. I have the plan in Tom Morris book. For Vintage her in Australia I have to verify year of plan publication. I found the FM5010 magazine for sale. It did list the "Flying AT Night" article. The plan does show lights fitted so I guess the mag is the correct one. Will look at purchasing it. BrianEa
