Title: Pit Paste
Post by: frank williams on March 26, 2018, 12:59:37 PM
I've been using this stuff for a couple of years and like it for filling dents and dings.  Its more "substantial" than some of the really light weight fillers.  I get it at the fishing tackle supply in the rod building section.  Its water based and dries fairly firm.

Is it compatible with dope?  Some of these filler products, such as Model Magic (Model Tragic), turned to mush when dope was applied over it.

Is this stuff used to patch porosities in cork handles, by chance? It looks like it would be ok with raspberry jam on pumpernickel.  H^^ Steve

I haven't tried that yet, I might.  I've been using this stuff lately.  It's compatible with dope, I have even mixed it with dope into  a thin paste.  It's heavy, "a little dab will do you".  It's inexpensive and goes a looong ways!
