I previously posted a pic of this plane in the pre-painting stage. Here it is painted. Final weight is 66 ounces. Power a GMA/Jett .51. First (and second) flights are promising. Finish is Sig dope. Thanks for looking.  8)

Nice work, Pete.  I love the subtle asymmetry in the wing paint schemes.

Whoa there, Pete! That thing came out awesome! 66 ozs is less that I *thought* it was going to be. How 'bout another pic or two. Let's see the whole thing.

Super job, brother!

Doggone it Pete, how do you keep doing this? You make some of us feel so ... inadequate.

I especially like the fact that you discarded the Insignia White background base color and went with something truly unique and interesting. Kinda like a 2-tone color scheme on a 60's Pontiac or something. Vurry nice!

More like a 3-tone color scheme. There's at least three different blue colors, plus trim. Impressive indeed.

Hi Clint, I know that it looks like three shades of blue but actually it is only two. Must be a trick of the light reflection. But you have given me an idea for the next one... 8)

It looks great Pete!!!!!!!!!!  I agree with the others about the 2 tone blue as a base color, gives it a classy feel!

Weight: 65 ounces (just removed an ounce of nose weight). Prop: An old Brian Eather 11 1.2 x ?? 3 blade. It will be replaced the next flight as I need to get lap times up and could use a bit more vertical performance. I'd like to retro-fit a .61 but the .51 has a small case and nothing else easily fits so it stays for now anyway.  8)

I like it too, Pete. Sorry to be tardy with the post, but the confuser's been down for about 3 weeks now...the cable modem "done blowed up", and my computer guru went AWOL about the same time.

The 2-tone blue looks nice with the trim colors. The "bump" on the right wing is an interesting feature, and I am wondering how you came up with the idea? Maybe the reflection of a sand dune in a glassy smooth pond?  LL~
A Kokopelli figure on the fin would be good. Good luck and good flying need the right mojo... H^^ Steve

Hi Steve, it's actually about the 3rd plane I've done in these colors, 5th with similar trim scheme. The "bump" on the wing came about when I decided I needed something to give an otherwise simple color scheme a little "pop". The flash on the fuselage was inspired by some tropical fish I saw. I call it a "guppy spot". I don't like painting tail sections so that is the explanation of the solid tail surfaces. Kokapelli figure a great idea, you may see it. Attached Vector photo another version of same scheme. Guppy spot is usually Diana Cream and Orange.  8)
