Hummm? birds of a featha...that brings back memories of an old stunt model that I had made a tank with a small cut out opening in the baffle that would give me a warning burp near the end of the flight.
Trouble was...that old Merco was a real fuel hog and sooooo often it would telegraph that little "burp" at the wrong time... in the first corner of the clover-leaf....
Often I would find myself lookin' up to the heavens...between between the earth n' sky, where the stunt angels dare to fly----utterin'n-mutterin' "thy will be done, on the tarmac or in heaven."
(Hummmm, thinking back...that is exactly how that 69 nats old Sting Ray ended its long and infamously tortured life when that old Merco burped on its last drop of Testors 39 on its way up the last leg of the clover-leaf. (Even runnin bassakward and whippin--wasn't enough to save that old war-bird from tastin'da tarmac!!
Talk about an aftermath of a pillow fight from the pits of hell...(Hummm? Thinking back???)
That crashh happened so fast....I didn't think quickly enough to even think about that "wing and a prayer thang' !!! VD~ VD~ j1 j1 j1 SH^ %^ %^ **) **)
