We are about to float away down here. As you know New Orleans is not known for its drainage seeing as it is 10ft below sea level....no one has been able to fly for over a month now at our field....

Our field gets flooded after a heavy rain, but fortunately drains again in a day or two.
But, there's a solution.

Thats not bad at all! Looks like the paved circle at Brodaks before it was paved. Just don't land in the puddles.
-
You can go tether boating... ;D

Let me send my temps down to ya for the duration of winter. 12 degrees F this AM.

It got pretty damp in these parts as well, just before Christmas....
One photo of how it normally looks and the other was what greeted flyers one Sunday Morning. Normally drainage is very good.

So, just like here from November to June? We'll, except for when it freezes.

Mike, I would take this chance to do a fast build of Don Hutchinson's profile Piper Cub Warbird #13 and put floats on it!
Film covered, it could build in short order.

Here is my 80" cub with floats flying at the ROW pond (built on purpose) in Roseburg Oregon. Great fun....

I was going to chop on Mike for the light coat of moisture on his flying field. But I see youse guys have already taken care of bidness! LL~ Steve

Yeah they got me Steve. Randy said that was just a spring shower for you guys... Our problem is being below sea level that it takes forever to drain off.
