Below are pictures from both days... I thought I did a new post for Sunday. Or maybe it got moved into this thread.
Anyway enjoy.
Man did I get to see some nice planes today!!! I got to put some for faces with some names and shake more hands. Got to see some old friends. This is what it is all about. Oh yea and tomorrow we get to fly! ;D

Looks like you guys had fun. Cool planes. y1
How did you and Ryan do?
-
Here are a few shots from today. The wind was much lighter today. Very nice temps. Ryan and I had a blast!!! We really got to meet some C/L icons. I got to launch "The Jug" this morning on a pratice flight. Ryan was still asleep and did not get a picture of me with the P-47.
Here is our story. After the second round I was in second and place Ryan was in third. I could not figure out the scoreing because I felt he flew better then me both flights. After looking at the score he noticed that he did not get pattern points on the second flight. When I asked the CD to look into it, he said that both judges had a brain fart. He got the patten points. He came second and I took third. He sure made me proud. y1
After the contest, Ryan flew his Bi-Slob. Got it to hover a few times, and then it got lose on the lines and nosed in. Popped a few ribs and the monokote. A few drops of CA and some monokote and he will be back in business.
We enjoyed meeting everyone and hope to see everyone back next year.
Thanks Louis and Jim and the Millington BarnStormers for a great contest.

Great pictures Paul. There is one in particular that needs a little comment. Not to take anything away from "Sparkys' Thunderbolt", it is awesome, but that is the new "Hi Performance Ringmaster 576" next to it. The neat thing about it is the "AMA Number", it belonged to "Matt Kania" himself.
"Billy G" ;D

Bill, I believe the story is that Dee Rice lead the way to have Matt Kania put in the AMA Hall of Fame, ( you would of thought he was there already) and has received his AMA number. If this is not correct, maybe someone could clarify.

Norm;
That is exactly how he got the number, it was transferred to him thru the courtesy of "Matts' son. Dee didn't just lead the way, he was the way, this is now fact, not just story.
"Billy G" ;D

The picture of Tom Morris is of him after receiving his award for 1st in Intermediate. A plaque and a Great Planes "WING JIG". Maybe now he can make some good wings?

Tom is such a class act. After winning the wing jig, he walked over and handed it to Ryan. Now Ryan wants to build a Banshee.
