I'm seeing if I've got this figured out. If so, here's a pic of the PBY from back when I was painting it...

Hi, Picture looks great! How did you finish this model? I thought I read where you wanted to change out the engines on it, did you get a chance to do it? Thanks, Mike

I dont think we have even seen pictures of it painted yet !
come on, post some more man,,

I know, I'm way behind on the whole picture posting thing. I just got this fancy new Acer laptop a few days ago, my first ever home computer, and I'm a gazillion miles out of my comfort/knowledge zone. I can barely figure out right now how to post pics. One of the many things I need to learn is how to re-size them because I see with my photos I can only fit one per post as they are. Once I get it sussed, you folks will probably get real tired of hearing from me. ;D

This pic and the one before it are actually from the '09 Sig contest. Just a week or so ago I did finish the engine swap from the Saito .30's to the .40's. I guess that kind of makes it an official upgrade to "Super Cat" status like when the full scale version gets the R-2800 conversion. Anyway, she's now ready to go for the 2010 season.

For now I'll add a few more this way just for kicks...
Here, imagine your arm getting longer with every lap! ;D

Nice bird, Wayne! How does she feel on the handle? Looks like a handful!

Thanks! It's got a real healthy, consistent tug, tracks straight as an arrow and is very stable. You'd maybe never guess, but it's got a real good turn in it too. I can't wait to fly it with the .40's when the season begins. It was just slightly underpowered before, but now it should be quite a monster. y1

Beautiful airplane! The control system is unique with the 2nd bellcrank in the rear. The entire control system is exposed for maintenance, adjustments an so forth. Very ingenious and a gorgeous finishing job, too.

The PBY has always been one of my favorites. Yours is beautiful. I admire people who are not afraid to try something different.

That is very nice. y1

Outstanding model! I'd love to see (and hear) it flying.
Great work.
