Insides vs Outsides different, what to do?
« on: August 15, 2010, 05:41:50 PM »
It seems to be consistent that my Sky Sport design turns outsides better than insides.  I have two .061 models and now the .15 size one.  I can fix it on each model by biasing the bellcrank or handle, but I would really like to build perfect trim into the design.  My thoughts are to tweak either or both the thrustline and the elevator angle setting.

Anyone out there with a clue?  (I am told that Jamisons do the same thing, and I am just finishing up one of those, too, so HELP??)
Think S.M.A.L.L. y'all and, it's all good, CL, FF and RC!

seems to me that you are building the control system with incorrect geometery - I am only guessing that you are using 90 degree horns - which will make this happen.

There are a few good articles on how to build symetrical systems - i'll see if i can scan one in.

I had an extreme problem with a 40 size airplane.  I corrected it with 3 degree shims under the engine.  the thrust-line was that much off.
