Ahhh CG Lil Wizard.

I had one as well. I liked it because it had a tip weight on the wing and a rubber band on the controls to throw auto-up and bank out when the lines got slack in them.

Not a bad idea.

Hey!!! Another Wizard!! I've got one that dates back to 1977 that my son and daughter learned to fly on.. They painted it black and silver.. When flown over grass, that thing is indestructable..

I don't personally know of Pat Collier.  Three of my grandfather's brothers moved to the San Francisco area many years ago where they raised families.  I've only met a handful of that part of the clan.  Don't know if there was a Pat Collier in that bunch or not.

Pat Collier and his son did a streamered routine two up with their beautiful Starduster design. Looked like it was based on the Skylark.

Actually the Wizard is retired.  The picture doesn't show tiny cracks in the wings or the amount of oil soaked into the nose.  Heres one I'm tinkering with.  It was almost lost to hanger (attic) rash.  I've got a new canopy and foam wings in the works.  The TD is for a sheetwing profile thats a bit over half done.  My projects go slow because of the gaps in between build sessions.
