Dennis,

Thank you for posting the picture of Allen Brickhaus's Rayette in Mikey Pratt's classified ad.   I am originally from Mayfield, Kentucky and one summer, many years ago, I went back home and drove over to Paducah and met Allen and Charlie Reeves at their field there.  Allen had inspired me to build a Rayette, the profile version of Bob's Stingray,
which I later kitted with Bob's permission.  Allen was flying my Rayette and the motor quit while Allen had it inverted and he landed it perfectly upside down and the only thing that broke off was the sharpened dowel pin that was glued to the top of the rudder.  I told Allen to forget it but he and Charlie must have searched 30 minutes trying to find it.  That picture you posted of Allen's Rayette, just brought back that memory to me and the fun Allen, Charlie and I had that day.  Thank you.
