Title: Pics from Central FLorida FLy-In
Post by: Phil Coopy on November 29, 2006, 03:26:31 PM: We had a great turnout for our first Central FLorida Fly-In. Twenty-two pilots signed in and some flew from 8Am till 3:30PM. Several of the flyers brought guests with them and the local RC guys came out to spectate.. The planes ranged from hard core stunters to BiSlobs. We flew in concert with the RC guys without any serious problems with the exception of one RC plane which wandered into the edge of one of the circles. The day was nice, some wind, but overall quite flyable. Our resident chefs, Charlie & Dotothy Powers flipped burgers and brats so we could break for lunch and enjoy some food and drinks. The RC members of the club were very interested and I think we may have attracted some new rounders. This event provided an oppurtunity for lot of handshaking amoung guys from both FLorida coasts. All in all the Ridge Barnstormers of Lake Wales really enjoyed having this event and I think that the flyers did too and they are already asking "When is the next one?".

P.S. Have apologize for some of the pics of folks that are missing...photography is not my long suit...I thought I had taken everone's pic, but not. Ken nash, I know I took yours but I must have not pushed the buttion all the way(new Kodak). Dick Antoszewski who put on a great BiSlob demo and thrilled everyone,...any others I missed will surely be in the next batch as soon as we can get another CL fly-in going.

All of us did.

Entire event was well coordinated, looked like you have been doing Stunt events for years.

Now it's my turn to ask, "When is the next one?" ;)
We can discuss more when you come over to fly with us.

Thanks for posting the pics. Wish I had wiped the oil off the wing of my Barnstormer before you took the photo. Once again, we had a great time and we are looking forward to doing it again. Hope to be a member of the Ridge Barnstormers soon so I can fly when I come to Winter Haven to visit my daughters and their families.

Lets do it again!!!

Post by: Bill Heher on December 01, 2006, 06:09:39 AM: Sparky - I had mine on but the morning was kinda cool for us Florida boys, must have been down in the 60s- so I had my jacket on. Rest assurred I saw at least 4-5 Stunt Hangar shirts, but they were out numbered by Tampa Bay Line Fliers shirts! They showed up in force and put up some impressive flights, and were a great bunch of guys to boot.
