That's Wayne's Zero and it is quite awesome! I believe it's from a Brodak kit, with the addition of Wayne's skills and some extra details. I'll let him fill in the blanks, but it makes me want to run out and get a Zero kit! Look at the other pics of the gaggle of models posed next to a red Honda Element and those all all Wayne's and they all fit in the back of the element!

Wayne, thanks for your interest in the Zero. That's not my AMA number on the wing though, there is actually quite a long story about this model...

No thanks necessary Allen, but thanks! ;D
The shot of your Olympus flying with the American flag in the background is one of my favorites of the bunch. y1

Who is Dan McEntee "high five'ing" - in the red shirt?
-
HMMM Looks to me like the guy in the red shirt is in process of throwing a "right cross" at Dan.

Black and Orange bird, what is it ?
Possibly a Trivial Pursuit.
-
That IS Greg Voumards Trivial Pursuit. He's from Des Moines and the bird has a RO Jett .67 up front. Flies pretty!

Dan,

Yeah, That's me and I think that's Greg Voumard that I'm talking too. I think this is early Sunday, and greg just came off the circle, Alan Brickhaus was next up and I'm getting ready to fly. I've slept since then, so having trouble remembering.
Hey Mike, check your email at work.

I'm glad the SIG Contest wasn't one week later. A little after 5:00pm this past friday a major wind storm swept over SIG FIELD, causing considerable damage. Thankfully none of you were there and no one was hurt.
The northern most hangar (the one with the SIG sign on the front) lost a large part of its metal roof. Luckily the Spacewalker II airplane inside was unhurt.
The "Spacewalker" trailer that is registration/scoring headquarters was blown down by the pond south of Hazel's house. I had cleaned it out Monday and parked it alongside the north end of the triple hangar (where Ed Prohaska's car was during the contest). That's where it usually spends the off season. The wind evidently (according to the tracks) blew it out of it's chocks and out onto the runway, then switched direction sending the trailer down into the gully by the pond. Miraculously it stayed upright and was not damaged.
The local farmer had begun to cut hay and had brought a hay wagon out to the field on tuesday. It was found on the runway, upside down, in splinters.
The "trash barrels" used at the contest (open top 55 gallon steel drums) that had been put away behind one of the hangars were scattered all over the airport.
Hazel lost 2 trees in her yard. Torn off at the ground.
One of Hazel's "yard sheds" was blown completely off its foundation.
All in all, it could have been a lot worse. I'm thankful you all weren't on the field, as the wind storm came up in a matter of seconds.

WOW!!!!! Glad no one was hurt. Sounds almost like it was a tornado. Straight line winds don't seem to do that kind of damage. The second round Sunday may have seemed that windy to some!
