Methinks, it is Bill Little his own self. Alias, "Mongo" and "Big Bear"

That must be a King Orange at Bunell?  It looks like Mike Garmon's red pickup over on the left, and is that possibly a kid named Derek Barry kneeling in the background?

It was at Myrtle Beach Air Force base  1996 or 1997 ..Larry Draughn from  Asheboro North Carolina  was the C/D  The Golden Oldies Stunt Championships ??    . In the background you can see the people grouping together in the area  for the trophy pictures. I have one plaque with the palm trees in the packground .. We had  custom made Picture Plaques for all events.

Great contest , really good idea probably the last year we had it . I think  we had Skill classes in Classic , Don't remember how we did OTS.

Yes,

It is the Big Bear, Bill Little and William Davis has the location pegged!  Another interesting note is that is the first contest I attended since destroying the original Akromaster in Concord CA circa early 1974.  That was a tough day, after destroying my plane I was drafted to judge the rest of the day.  Well, I did fly bit didn't enter the contest since all I had at that time was a newly completed Tutor.
