Philly Fliers Contest October 4th.

We will be holding our annual stunt contest on October 4th at Benjamin Rush State Park (Roosevelt Blvd. and Southampton Rd)in North East Philadelphia.We will fly all of the Pampa classes with trophies to 3rd place. We will also fly OTS with one open class,trophies to fifth place. On October 3rd we will be holding practice flying and have Pizza at our Neshaminy State Park flying site on State Rd in Bensalem Pa. found not far from Rt.95 and Street Rd exit of Rt.95. Look for the Playmasters sign at our entrance on State Rd. Please bring your face mask and practice social distancing as per Park rules. Try to get to Benjamin Rush Park for Pampa by 9am .For Practice flying on the 3rd get there when you can. On Sunday the NE Philly R/C club will be supplying lunch,donations will be greatly appreciated.

Any help that you can give with judging will also be much appreciated.BTW we don't enforce the BOM rule but will have a Pilot's Choice Award

We will not be able to provide prepared food at either on Saturday at Neshaminy practice site or on Sunday at Benjamin Rush flying sites due to Covid 19 park regulations Please pack a lunch or refreshments. Walt according to the guidelines we are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing. To be honest, not everyone at either site has been wearing a mask or practicing social distancing.....but most try to follow the rules.  As you know we have two wonderful flying sites and don't want to risk losing them. I'm sure that at the pilots meeting we'll discuss this. If you are coming ,please bring a mask. Thanks,Skip

Jim your help is much appreciated. We simply don't have the number of active members we once had. I will not be flying so I can be free to step in where needed. I'm certain that the rest of the Jersey crew will help out if called upon. One thing is for certain, we've got beautiful trophies to give out. Cheers,Skip

Hi Skip, I should have called ya, I'll be there, I'll also let Dennis know. I want to talk to him and Richie again about getting money for our storage box from the AMA, they have a grant program that might give us some money.

I'm gonna bring some vintage combat planes if its okay to fly afterwards. Need to use my pacifier more than a few flights, as it wont last till next year! Oh and Ringmaster Too!

This is IMPORTANT....Vandals took vehicles onto our beautifully prepared R/C field and C/L circles causing all kinds of damage to the turf. Tomorrow we will try to "repair" the damage. If the damage is too great we will have to hold the contest at our Neshaminy site on Sunday. We'll announce the final decision here on Stunthanger tomorrow in the afternoon.  Please spread the word to fellow fliers to be on notice and keep an eye on Stunthanger for more info about out contest.
