Perry, GA. Who's going?
« on: March 04, 2010, 06:54:26 AM »
Don Thibault, Joe Petty, John Rewis and I are leaving at 0630 tomorrow for the Southeastern Model Show in  Perry, GA.  We will be staying there on site in a motor home.

Who else is going?  If you have never attended, you are missing a real treat.  There are acres of model airplane stuff and since I fly both CL and RC, it is hog heaven for me.

This year I actually have a shopping list of particular items I am looking for.  Of course, I am sure I will find something that I do not need, but just have to buy just because it looks so cool.

David:  Why is this event held on Friday and Saturday every year?  My son and I would love to attend one of these years, but it's a six hour drive.  I don't want to take a day off of work and my son a day off of school, so Friday is out.  I don't want to drive during the night, so leaving late Friday or early Saturday is out.  If I leave Saturday morning at, say, 7am, I'll get there in time for the vendors to be packing up.

Why not hold the event on Saturday and Sunday?
