I am building a (display only) model of the Laird-Turner Pesco Special CL profile racer from 1960. It will have a K&B green head 15. I have seen reference to using an 8X4 prop, but what would be a period correct brand and style?

TF wood, TF Power Prop, RevUp, or Tornado Presswood should be ok, tho the last may have been out of production by 1960. My LHS had a bunch of Presswoods, and I used them for .15 speed up until TF Speed Props came out in '63 or later. But not 8-4's! One of my friends used 8-3's for free flight on his ST G.20 .15. I've always thought that was a really cool plane, hopefully we'll see a thread here in the Building section?
I might have a couple of the Top Flite props, maybe the Rev-Up too, I'll check when I get a chance.

Bill - check your PM's.

I believe Mr. Meriwether used the Tornado 7-6 nylons as we flew off grass then and nylon held up better. Very few wood props used because of the grass circle. I remember one pit stop never got the battery hooked up as the TeeDee ire first flip. D>K

Will any of these fit the bill, Bill?

Thank you to everyone who offered to send me props. Dale Gleason hooked me up at the club meeting last night, so I am set. BTW Wayne, do you realize those white Tornado props are pushers?
