Glad you got to see it, Jerry. I spent 5 years in Ketchikan one summer, working in a salmon cannery. On the drive from the airport (ferry dock at the N. side of downtown, to the bunkhouse on the S. side, maybe 2 miles), I counted 10 bald eagles, one doing a straffing run on the main drag. Even from shore, the scenery is pretty amazing, looking up & down the Tongass Narrows from Deer Mountain on a clear day. I wanted to take a Beaver flight out to Klawock, but never had any predictable time off.

I'd love to take the boat to AK one way and fly the other.
