Opinion wanted

In several of the kits I have produced, I have included a pair of metal pads to be used under the engine. Would you like to have them included in more kits or should it be left to the builder to decide when the kit is built?

I'm using the ones provided in the Playboy kit.

But that probably doesn't answer your question.

I know it is more work, but, the pads sound great to me.  Maybe when the shop is done I will get started on my "Playboy".  DOC Holliday

If the kit were a full bodied plane, with an inverted engine : I would feel the aluminum mounts a plus.IF they were
on top of the mount and not embedded in the mount.
IMHO, this would allow you more leeway in your fuel tank height adjustment.
it would also allow you to a thicker tank,if you needed more fuel capacity for your engine and could not make
the tank longer due to nose length design.
Obviously,I would in corporate this in any scratch built plane I was constructing.

Bill, I agree with Mr. Pate; use the metal pads, preferably on top of the motor mounts.  Does give "flexibility" in tank matters...
