Hi fellas from an ex-pat Brit in the Charente region of S.W.France.
Advice please ...... I've got a RECTANGULAR Perfect brand tank ....It's just under 4 oz. capacity.
It's the one with TWO fuel tubes both pointing up next to each other.
My question is : Can I use this for stunt ?
I know this may be a crazy question for you experienced guys out there but I've just come back to C/L.
If it's not suitable for stunt , what was it normally used for ? Rat Racing maybe ?
I normally use UNIFLOW [ without exhaust pressure ] but I would be grateful for any advice please.
very much obliged ,
Robin.

The rectangular shaped Perfect and Kap-Pack tanks require re-plumbing to use them in stunt, because both the filler and the overflow tubes are short, ending just inside the tank, so when you go inverted, all of the contents drain out rapidly. The fuel pickup is in the "bottom", not the middle, so even before the tank emptied itself, the pickup would be sucking only air soon after going upside down (possibly even within loops, especially square loops).
AFAIK, they were for non-stunting models, such as scale. Rat Racing tanks were long and narrow, and pressurized from the engine's backplate.

This is the way to make the rectangular tanks work for stunt:
