The real Peggy Sue, (Peggy Sue Gerrin) Died Monday, Oct. 1 at the hospital in Lubbock, Texas. She was 78.

I read her book "Whatever Happened to Peggy Sue?"

Sadly, another piece of childhood gone.

Yes , She was the Buddy Holly Peggy Sue. She married the Cricket's drummer.

    If I remember correctly, The song "Peggy Sue" was written by the drummer of the Crickets just for that girl.

Yes he was one of the greats taken way too early.  Didn't realize the Chief is older than my self. D>K

The song, "Peggy Sue" was written by  Buddy Holly, Norman Petty, and Jerry Allison.

Allison only supplied the Name "Peggy Sue" to the song.
