Title: Pegboard color?
Post by: Avaiojet on September 15, 2013, 08:18:08 AM
I've had pegboard for years and years.

Last ten years or so I've painted the pegboard sky blue or light blue. Yea, a little fem, but it was nice. Plus, most of the area was covered anyway.

Home Depot has white or brown pegboard. I have no issues with painting it.

What colors are others using?

I'm not sold on sky blue. But it is nice.   ;D

Jim,

I always rolled the paint on because of the holes.   n~

The wife and I did the Antique Show up there a few times. There's this hotel that allows dogs. No CL guys, but dogs are fine. ;D

I did my garage in white peg board.
With eight, four foot fluorescent lights and white peg board walls, it is very, very bright. Quite important if you are painting in there.

Charles,

A roller might work better than a brush, but I vote for spray paint!

I blocked the pegboard up on small pieces of 2x4 under the corners and brushed it. The drop cloth underneath had a regular pattern of drips, and the 2x4s were glued pretty tight to the back side.

Let me know when you get over this way again. We can go spin around some.

Larry,

Thanks for the reply.

I think you have the right idea with the white. I'll go with the white. I'll need good light painting the Mig-3. Have you seen the M3?

Jim,

When is the next Mt. Dora, Extravaganza!? (sp?)

Charles, I even found a real 'Extravaganza' for you...

Oct 11-13 Bike Festival
Oct 26-27 Craft Fair
Nov 2-3 Plant & Garden Fair
Nov 15-17 Renninger's Antique Extravaganza

I'm sure I'll be doing some cycling (my other passion) during the Bike Festival, but for the other events I'd rather be flying. 8)

We will probably do Renninger's. How many bedrooms ya got?

Jim, are you an active participant at my Mig-3 build?  ;D

Charles,

We actually have a full house that weekend. Kids are coming in for a week or so. Actually, the wife's sons and their SO's. But if you're around I'll try to drag the stepsons out and put them on a handle.

I hadn't perused the MIG-3 build until just now. Quite a project you've got going there. The consensus seems to be, "Git-R-Done"!

JIm,

Home Depot sells "white" peg board. Didn't know that until just recently.

I'm still waiting on Doug, the formica counter top guy. Now the price is 65.00 more because of the color. I wonder?

Might get the counter top Saturday or Monday.

Then I can hang the upper cabinets and measure for the peg board.

It will get done, so will the M3.

Thanks for your interest.
