Pearl Harbor
« on: December 07, 2018, 12:05:47 PM »
Today marks the 77th anniversary of the attack on Pearl arbor.  Read last night that there are only 5 remaining Arizona survivors, and for the first time, none will be in attendance at the memorial event.  All due to health reasons.  Considering that all must be at least 95 (assuming he was 18 at the time), and more likely 97+, this is not surprising.

My dad, 37 years in the Navy and  Master Chief, said one there  is a saying among sailors that a ship doesn't die until the passing of the last man who served aboard her.

Let us never forget, and remain ever vigilant.

It is sad to see their passing.  It was quite a generation.

May God bless each and every one of them whether they are here or gone.
